1. Purpose
SpinVisor recognises that gambling involves financial risk and that gambling can cause harm when it becomes excessive, uncontrolled or unaffordable.
This Responsible Gambling & Player Safety Policy explains:
- SpinVisor's role as a gameplay analytics service;
- the limits of gameplay statistics;
- the importance of maintaining control over gambling decisions;
- warning signs that gambling may be causing harm;
- practical steps users can take to reduce gambling-related risk;
- account and extension controls available through SpinVisor; and
- where users can obtain independent help.
SpinVisor is operated by Dynemetry (Pty) Ltd, South Africa.
SpinVisor is intended for persons aged 18 years or older only.
2. SpinVisor Is an Analytics Service
SpinVisor provides gameplay tracking, historical statistics, session information, metrics and analytical information.
Depending on supported functionality, this may include:
- session history;
- spin history;
- win/loss information;
- observed RTP;
- session profit/loss;
- average wager;
- win rates;
- bonus/feature information;
- tumble/cascade statistics;
- historical trends;
- variance-related metrics;
- gameplay history; and
- aggregated community statistics.
The purpose of these metrics is to help users better understand their gameplay.
SpinVisor does not make gambling decisions for users.
3. Your Decisions Are Your Own
SpinVisor does not decide whether a user should:
- gamble;
- continue gambling;
- stop gambling;
- select a particular casino;
- select a particular game;
- place a wager;
- change a wager;
- purchase a game feature; or
- otherwise participate in gambling.
These decisions remain entirely with the user.
SpinVisor does not place wagers, initiate spins, purchase game features, deposit casino funds or withdraw casino funds on behalf of users.
Metrics provided by SpinVisor are informational.
4. SpinVisor Does Not Provide Bet Recommendations
SpinVisor does not provide functionality intended to tell users how much they should wager.
SpinVisor does not provide:
- suggested bet amounts;
- instructions to increase a wager;
- instructions to decrease a wager;
- instructions to maintain a wager;
- predictions that changing a wager will improve the outcome of a game; or
- recommendations to continue gambling because of previous results.
Historical gameplay information is intended to describe what has occurred rather than instruct the user what to wager next.
5. Random Outcomes Remain Random
Historical gameplay does not determine future random outcomes.
Statistics such as:
- observed RTP;
- win rate;
- previous wins;
- previous losses;
- bonus frequency;
- dry spells;
- multipliers;
- historical session performance; and
- community gameplay statistics
do not establish what the next spin will produce.
A game that has recently produced losses is not necessarily “due” to produce a win.
Similarly, a game that has recently produced significant wins is not guaranteed to continue doing so.
SpinVisor does not control or influence a casino game's random number generator or game outcome.
6. Observed RTP
SpinVisor may calculate observed RTP based on gameplay information available during a user's session or history.
Observed RTP describes what has occurred within the applicable observed dataset.
It is not the same thing as a guarantee of future RTP.
Short-term observed RTP may differ substantially from a game's published theoretical RTP because gambling outcomes can vary significantly over limited numbers of spins.
A low observed RTP does not mean that a game is required to compensate the player through future wins.
A high observed RTP does not mean that favourable outcomes will continue.
7. Historical Trends
SpinVisor may display historical or aggregate gameplay trends.
A trend describes past or observed activity.
It should not be interpreted as evidence that a future random result will follow the same trend or reverse it.
Where SpinVisor uses terminology such as “trending”, “activity”, “performance” or similar statistical descriptions, those descriptions refer to observed information rather than predictions of future game outcomes.
8. Gambling Should Not Be Treated as Income
Gambling should not be treated as:
- employment;
- an investment;
- a savings strategy;
- a method of paying debt;
- a guaranteed source of income; or
- a reliable method of recovering previous gambling losses.
Money wagered can be lost.
Users should not gamble with money required for essential expenses such as:
- housing;
- food;
- utilities;
- healthcare;
- education;
- debt repayments; or
- family responsibilities.
9. Do Not Chase Losses
A previous gambling loss does not make a future win more likely.
Increasing gambling activity in an attempt to recover previous losses can result in further losses.
SpinVisor's session profit/loss and historical information can help users understand the financial outcome of their gameplay, but that information does not provide a method for recovering losses.
If losses are causing you to feel that you must continue gambling until the money is recovered, consider stopping the session and seeking support.
10. Set Personal Limits
Users should consider setting personal limits before gambling.
These may include:
Financial limits
Decide in advance how much money you are prepared to lose.
Do not increase that amount merely because the initial amount has been lost.
Time limits
Decide how long you intend to gamble.
Extended sessions can make it more difficult to accurately assess time and expenditure.
Loss limits
Consider stopping when a predetermined loss amount is reached.
Deposit limits
Where the casino operator provides deposit-limit functionality, consider using it.
Session limits
Where available, casino session or time-limit tools may help maintain boundaries.
SpinVisor does not control casino limits. These controls are provided by the applicable casino operator.
11. Take Breaks
Regular breaks can help users maintain awareness of:
- time spent gambling;
- money wagered;
- current losses or winnings;
- emotional state; and
- whether gambling remains recreational.
Consider stepping away from gambling if you are:
- tired;
- angry;
- distressed;
- under significant financial pressure;
- attempting to recover losses;
- intoxicated; or
- having difficulty stopping.
12. Understand Your Session Results
SpinVisor may display session information such as:
- starting balance;
- ending balance;
- total wagered;
- total wins;
- session profit/loss;
- number of spins;
- session duration; and
- other gameplay statistics.
These metrics can make the financial and behavioural characteristics of a session more visible.
Users should consider the complete session outcome rather than focusing only on individual significant wins.
A large win during a session does not necessarily mean the session as a whole was profitable.
13. Big Wins and Community Information
SpinVisor may display significant wins or other gameplay events through community functionality.
Community wins should not be interpreted as typical or guaranteed outcomes.
Seeing another user's significant win does not mean:
- the same game will produce a similar result for you;
- the game is more likely to produce a win;
- you should increase your gambling activity; or
- you should attempt to reproduce another user's result.
Community information describes observed activity.
It does not predict future outcomes.
14. Bonus and Feature Information
SpinVisor may track bonus or feature activity.
Historical information about:
- bonuses;
- features;
- spins before a feature;
- feature frequency;
- multipliers; or
- feature results
does not determine when the next feature will occur.
A long period without a bonus does not mean that a bonus is necessarily due.
Users should not continue gambling solely because a feature has not recently occurred.
15. Purchased Game Features
Some casino games may allow users to purchase access to a bonus or feature.
SpinVisor may record the purchase price and outcome of a purchased feature where supported.
SpinVisor does not initiate the purchase.
The decision to purchase a feature belongs to the user.
Purchasing a feature does not guarantee that the value returned by that feature will equal or exceed its purchase price.
Historical feature results do not guarantee future feature results.
16. Warning Signs
Gambling may be becoming harmful where a person:
- spends more than they intended;
- regularly exceeds personal limits;
- borrows money to gamble;
- uses money intended for essential expenses;
- hides gambling activity from family or friends;
- repeatedly attempts to recover losses through further gambling;
- feels unable to stop;
- becomes distressed when unable to gamble;
- neglects work, education or family responsibilities;
- experiences relationship problems because of gambling;
- experiences increasing debt because of gambling;
- gambles to escape emotional difficulties;
- loses track of time while gambling; or
- continues despite significant financial or personal harm.
Experiencing one or more warning signs is a reason to reconsider gambling activity and seek appropriate support.
17. When Gambling Stops Being Recreational
If gambling is causing:
- financial difficulty;
- debt;
- relationship problems;
- work problems;
- emotional distress;
- loss of control; or
- other significant harm,
the appropriate response may be to stop gambling rather than attempt to change gambling strategy.
Gameplay analytics cannot solve a gambling-control problem.
Independent professional support may be appropriate.
18. Self-Exclusion
Many regulated gambling operators and jurisdictions provide self-exclusion mechanisms.
Self-exclusion can restrict a person from gambling with an operator or through a regulatory exclusion programme for a defined period.
Users who believe they are losing control of their gambling should consider self-exclusion and other blocking mechanisms available in their jurisdiction.
SpinVisor does not operate casino self-exclusion systems and cannot enrol a user into a casino or regulatory self-exclusion programme.
Users should contact their gambling operator or appropriate gambling authority for applicable self-exclusion procedures.
19. South African Self-Exclusion
For users in South Africa, self-exclusion assistance may be available through licensed gambling operators and Provincial Licensing Authorities.
The South African National Responsible Gambling Programme also provides counselling and support in connection with self-exclusion.
Users should consult current information published by the relevant operator, Provincial Licensing Authority, National Gambling Board or National Responsible Gambling Programme before relying on a particular procedure.
20. Independent Gambling-Blocking Tools
Users who want additional protection may consider independent gambling-blocking software or device-level blocking tools.
Such tools may restrict access to gambling websites or applications.
SpinVisor does not control independent blocking products and does not guarantee their effectiveness.
Users should evaluate the privacy, security, compatibility and terms of any third-party blocking software before installing it.
21. Casino Responsible-Gambling Controls
Casino operators may provide tools including:
- deposit limits;
- loss limits;
- wagering limits;
- session reminders;
- time limits;
- cooling-off periods;
- temporary account suspension; and
- self-exclusion.
SpinVisor does not administer these casino controls.
Users should contact the applicable casino operator for information about the responsible-gambling controls available on their account.
22. SpinVisor Is Not a Treatment Service
SpinVisor is not:
- a counselling service;
- an addiction-treatment provider;
- a mental-health service;
- a financial counselling service;
- a debt-advice service; or
- an emergency service.
SpinVisor analytics should not be used as a substitute for professional help where gambling is causing harm.
23. Deleting or Stopping SpinVisor Does Not Self-Exclude You
Deleting a SpinVisor account, uninstalling the SpinVisor extension or removing its website permissions does not self-exclude the user from a casino.
These actions affect access to SpinVisor only.
A user wishing to stop access to gambling should use the exclusion, blocking or account-control mechanisms provided by the applicable casino, regulator or independent gambling-blocking service.
24. SpinVisor Account Deletion
Users may delete their SpinVisor account at any time using the available account-deletion functionality.
Account deletion permanently removes the user's access to their SpinVisor account and results in the handling of account-linked information according to the SpinVisor Privacy Policy.
Account deletion should not be confused with casino self-exclusion.
25. Age Restriction
SpinVisor is strictly limited to persons aged 18 years or older.
Date of birth is required during registration.
Where the supplied date of birth indicates that the person is under 18, registration is not permitted.
SpinVisor does not currently independently verify every user's age against government-issued identification.
Providing false age information violates the SpinVisor Terms of Service.
26. Parents and Guardians
SpinVisor should not be made available to minors.
Adults responsible for devices accessible to minors should consider:
- securing their browser profile;
- securing gambling accounts;
- not sharing gambling credentials;
- using device parental controls where appropriate; and
- preventing minors from accessing gambling websites or services.
Casino account credentials should never be shared with minors.
27. Supported Casino Information
SpinVisor may provide users with information concerning casino websites that are technically supported by the extension.
Technical support means that SpinVisor has implemented compatibility with the relevant website.
It does not mean that SpinVisor:
- operates the casino;
- guarantees the casino's conduct;
- guarantees that the casino is lawful in every jurisdiction;
- guarantees withdrawals;
- guarantees game fairness; or
- recommends that a user gamble with that casino.
Users remain responsible for determining whether a gambling operator is lawfully available to them.
28. Unsupported Websites
If SpinVisor is opened on a website that is not supported, SpinVisor may notify the user that the extension does not currently operate on that website.
SpinVisor may provide access to a page identifying casino websites currently supported by the extension.
The purpose of this information is to explain technical compatibility.
A supported-site listing should not be interpreted as a promise of gambling success or an instruction to gamble.
29. Gambling Laws
Gambling laws differ between countries and regions.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their gambling activity is lawful in the jurisdiction applicable to them.
SpinVisor's technical compatibility with a casino or game does not establish that the casino or gambling activity is lawful for every user.
Where appropriate, users should verify an operator's licensing status with the relevant gambling regulator.
30. Help for South African Users
Users in South Africa who are concerned about their gambling can contact the National Responsible Gambling Programme (NRGP).
Current support information includes:
24-Hour Toll-Free Helpline: 0800 006 008
WhatsApp: 076 675 0710
Website: responsiblegambling.org.za
The NRGP provides counselling and support for people experiencing gambling-related problems.
Self-exclusion assistance may also be available through gambling operators and Provincial Licensing Authorities.
Users should verify current contact information directly with the NRGP or National Gambling Board because external contact details may change.
31. Help Outside South Africa
Users outside South Africa should seek assistance from responsible-gambling organisations, gambling regulators, healthcare services or gambling-support organisations operating in their jurisdiction.
SpinVisor may provide links to independent responsible-gambling resources for convenience.
The availability and operation of those services are controlled by the relevant third parties.
If a user is experiencing an immediate crisis or is at risk of harming themselves or another person, they should contact the emergency services or an appropriate crisis service in their location immediately.
32. Responsible Presentation of Analytics
SpinVisor seeks to present gameplay analytics as factual or statistical information rather than as promises concerning future outcomes.
SpinVisor does not intend its analytics to imply that:
- a player can predict an RNG;
- losses guarantee future wins;
- previous wins guarantee future wins;
- a bonus is “due”;
- a game must compensate for previous losses; or
- historical statistics eliminate the financial risk of gambling.
SpinVisor may modify terminology or presentation where necessary to maintain this distinction.
33. Product Development and Player Safety
SpinVisor may introduce, modify or remove functionality where appropriate for:
- player safety;
- responsible-gambling considerations;
- regulatory compliance;
- browser-platform requirements;
- payment-provider requirements;
- privacy;
- security; or
- product integrity.
SpinVisor may also develop informational features intended to help users better understand:
- session duration;
- financial outcomes;
- gameplay frequency;
- historical activity; and
- other measurable aspects of their gameplay.
Such features remain informational and do not make gambling decisions for the user.
34. No Guarantee That Analytics Prevent Harm
Gameplay tracking can make aspects of gambling activity more visible, but SpinVisor cannot guarantee that use of analytics will prevent:
- excessive gambling;
- financial loss;
- loss of control;
- gambling-related harm; or
- problem gambling.
Users remain responsible for responding appropriately to the information presented to them.
Where gambling is becoming harmful, users should consider stopping gambling and seeking independent assistance.
35. Changes to This Policy
SpinVisor may update this Responsible Gambling & Player Safety Policy where:
- SpinVisor functionality changes;
- responsible-gambling practices evolve;
- legal or regulatory requirements change;
- support resources change;
- player-safety functionality changes; or
- other circumstances make an update appropriate.
The “Last Updated” date will be revised when this Policy changes.
